There is a first time for everything. You know that saying, and so do we in Enduro Croatia. Luckily, with our help, your first enduro experience can be wonderful. Because we have professional guides and trails available for beginners and experts. But…
Your inexperience is not an excuse to be fully unprepared for the many challenges enduro can put in front of you. We don’t want to make you scared, just aware. And prepared, of course. Because the whole experience gets better like that.
So, to go directly on topic – here is a list of 10 things beginners should have on their minds.
1. Don’t buy a bike
We are equipped with a whole fleet of great KTM bikes, and it is better to know where to start instead of jumping on something you think is for you. Learn your basics and then go and buy your first motorbike.
2. Community
Everything is easier with people around. Try and get involved in a club or community with other enduro lovers.
3. Take advice
Talking to people that know much more about trail riding is a must. Same as everything you get involved in for the first time.
4. Enduro is not motocross (!!!)
It is just about having fun on a dirty bike and spending time with your friends. It is not racing, it’s not competitive.

5. Be clear
If it is your first time tell it to the guide or a run leader. It is an important piece of information!
6. We all fail
Especially when we start with something. You can learn from your failures and mistakes so go, go, go! With time everything will be clearer and easier.
7. Bike condition
Don’t turn up on a bike with known faults. Your new mates will forgive a few mechanicals, but if you arrive at something that can barely make it out of the “car park”, you are not going to make yourself popular.
8. Full tank and silencer
Make sure you’ve got a full fuel tank and proper silencer. You don’t want to sound like you are on a Harley. And, when we are here… It might be a good idea to learn how to change a tube out in the middle of nowhere. Of course, we are here to assist.
9. Protection
Proper helmets, boots, eye protection, trousers, body armor, knee, and elbow pads – are a must!
10. NEVER DO THIS
Do not buy used helmets. Never.
Of course, you are welcome to ask anything else, Enduro Croatia is at your service.
